Public Meeting Calendar, July 2019

Base Access Note: When attending a public meeting at Joint Base Cape Cod (JBCC), please arrive through the Main Gate in Bourne (there is no entry through the Sandwich Gate without an existing base pass). Members of the public will be asked to show a valid ID and will be asked the location and name of the meeting you are attending.

Joint Base Cape Cod Cleanup Team (JBCCCT)

The JBCCCT Meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, July 10, at 6:00 p.m. at Building 1805, West Outer Road, Camp Edwards. The JBCCCT meetings provide a forum for community input regarding issues related to the Installation Restoration Program, which is primarily focused on the environmental cleanup on the southern portion of the base, and the Impact Area Groundwater Study Program, which is responsible for the environmental cleanup of the northern 15,000 acres of Camp Edwards. Science Advisory Council (SAC)/AD Hoc Committee

The SAC AD Hoc Subcommittee meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, July 17 at 1:30 p.m. location TBD. For more information, contact Len Pinaud, Environmental Management Commission, at the Environmental and Readiness Center at 508-968-5127.


Public Comment Period
The Air Force Civil Engineer Center (AFCEC) is conducting a 30-day public comment period on the Draft Final No Further Response Action Planned (NFRAP) Decision Document (DD) for one Munitions Response Area (MRA), the Otis Target Butt at Joint Base Cape Cod (JBCC).

 

AFCEC is addressing the remediation of munitions constituents (MC). The 30-day public comment period on the NFRAP DD runs from June 21-July 20, 2019. A copy of the Draft Final NFRAP DD for the Otis Target Butt is available on AFCEC’s web page at: https://www.massnationalguard.org/JBCC/afcec.html. The DD has also been provided to the main public libraries in Bourne, Mashpee, Falmouth and Sandwich.
