Brigadier General CHRISTOPHER M. FAUX
Brigadier General Christopher M. Faux is the Assistant Adjutant General for Air, Massachusetts Air National Guard, Massachusetts Joint Force Headquarters, Hanscom AFB, Massachusetts. He is the principal advisor to The Adjutant General, Air Component Commander, and Land Component Commander in the administration, coordination, planning, development, and execution of all Air National Guard and National Guard Joint Staff programs. He ensures the preparation of the 9,000 soldiers and airmen of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for contingency operations in both federal and state emergencies. He assists the Adjutant General in overseeing the Commonwealth’s Joint Homeland Defense Program, to include rapid reaction forces, contingency emergency response forces, counter drug operations, civil support teams, expeditionary medical teams, and explosives ordnance disposal.
Prior to this assignment, Gen. Faux served as the Vice Wing Commander of the 102d Intelligence Wing, Otis Air National Guard Base, Massachusetts, where he was responsible for the activities of more than 1,300 military and civilian personnel assigned to the base. Gen. Faux has served in Operations DESERT STORM, SOUTHERN WATCH, and NOBLE EAGLE. While deployed to Prince Sultan Air Base, Saudi Arabia, he was responsible for environmental security and vulnerability assessments in addition to industrial hygiene surveillance for the entire area of responsibility, encompassing seven installations. Having commanded at the group level (102d Mission Support Group), Gen. Faux received his commission through the ROTC program at Norwich University and joined the Massachusetts Air National Guard in 1987.
